High quality Solar Inverter for a long lasting Solar System
An essential component in the solar power system. Solar Inverter is an electrical converter that transforms the direct current (DC) output of a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel into a usable alternating current (AC) power. It is an important component of the solar system to operate the lights, appliances, and other electronics.
How Does Solar Inverter Works?
When the sun rays reached the solar photovoltaic (PV) system, the electrons start to move around the solar cells. This movement produces DC energy that goes to the inverter, in return converts it to AC energy. Once DC energy has been converted to AC energy, the solar electricity can now power appliances and electronics.
Types of Solar Inverters
The type of solar inverter is based on the required application.
- The most common type available in single phase and three phase
- Most string inverters have dual or triple Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) that allows flexibility in configuration
- Down time is greatly reduced as string inverters can be replaced easily
- Ideal for properties with “uncomplicated” roofs where the panels are arranged on a single plane facing one direction
- Has the largest capacity among the three types of inverter
- Commonly used for commercial installations and utility-scale solar farms.
- Only one MPPT – the entire array operates like one giant solar panel
- Not suitable for build-up areas and rooftops if the panels are exposed to different degree of shading
- The smallest among the three types of inverterMounted on every panel, Micro-inverter changes the power from DC to AC.
- For operation with individual solar panels – each solar panel operates at optimum performance independently
- Overall system performance is improved if the panels are exposed to different degree of shading
